Lessons are online via google meet. If needed, we can discuss other arrangements to see what can work.

Payment is via venmo due at time of lesson. Other payment options can be discussed if needed.

An online video meeting capable computer, a quiet place where I can see your hands playing, and a guitar. Bonus points if you have headphones WITHOUT a microphone to separate your microphone from your speakers.

On the first lesson, we'll get our technical equipment working, assess what your experience level is and what your goals are. Then we'll identify something that can be improved, whether you bring it up or its something I notice. I'll suggest ways to work on it, and why it works. Until the end, it'll be hands on time practicing that new concept. Finally, I'll give you further guidance for your own practice time.

Cancellations require at least 24 hour notice. Cancellations less than 24 hours in advance are considered paid in full.

This varies, but with consistent practice you should be able to feel comfortable with basics of playing guitar in about three months.

Music theory is not required when starting out, but is helpful in the right amounts and context. In the long term, learning theory will give you access to different tools to express yourself in new ways.
